Beth, one of our lovely Mumbler’s went to The Beach Cove and sent me a review for you all to read…
Myself and a friend took our four children (age 2 to 4 years) to The Beach Cove at Hornsea Freeport, we spent approximately three hours there.
Entrance is £3.75 per child (age over 9 months) on week days during term time. The price goes up to £5.25 on weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. There is a play and meal deal for £6.95, again this goes up on certain days to £8.50. Adults entrance is free.
The Beach Cove offers quite a varied menu serving hot and cold meals, hot drinks, cakes and ice cream which all seemed a reasonable price. The Beach Cove allows you to take picnics to enjoy outside, we checked beforehand and they said that they would have no problem with us eating them inside if the weather was bad.
The soft play area is split into three sections for children of different ages, they all seemed lovely and clean, there was even a small sectioned off area for young babies.
The outdoor area is fantastic! We went on a rainy day but still managed to spend quite alot of time outside, thanks to the great facilities they have set up. They have a range of equipment outside for you to enjoy. There are large bouncy pillows (which are under cover, so you can still go on them in the rain), water pump, sand pit, slides, swings, zip wire, racing track and inflatable area. Some of these are only open in the dry weather and on certain days.
Overall I would definitely recommend The Beach Cove for children from birth to approximately eight years old (child dependant) especially if it’s a dry day so you can enjoy all they have to offer.
