Boxing Day Dip at Flamborough South Landing

December 26, 2018 @ 10:30 am

This year sees the tenth annual Boxing Day dip arrive at South Landing for what is the East Coasts highly anticipated seasonal dip in Flamborough.

Story book characters will come to life, as this years’ theme will see the Gruffalo, Snow White, the three little pigs and many more make a splash for a charitable cause. Dressing up is not compulsory but guaranteed to be a lot more fun if you go the extra mile and make the effort.

Every year the annual dip has grown in support, with more dippers turning out year on year. The charitable dip raises funds for the Flamborough Pre-School, where all money raised is invested in the pre-school to give the best possible start for children and their early learning experiences.

William Traves, Committee Chairperson at the Pre-school and one of the organisers of the event said,
“The dip will commence at 10.45am, South Landing with the fun and festivities moving into the village. Once in the village, spectators and dippers will be met by the junior and senior Longsword Dancers, this has fast become a Boxing Day tradition in Flamborough! The dancers will perform from noon with the grand finale in Dog and Duck Square at 3pm.”

Everyone, as always, is welcome to take part in what is a fantastic family day experience.

All those that fancy a dip, please collect your sponsorship forms from the Pre-school or The old Tuck Shop, Flamborough well in advance.

See you on Boxing Day!
