Forestry Commission’s 100th birthday at Dalby Forest!

September 1, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join us to celebrate the Forestry Commission’s 100th birthday at Dalby Forest!

If you enjoy being in a forest and have ever wondered ‘How do they do that?’ ‘What was that animal?’ ‘Why do they do that?’ or if you just want to share your memories of our Yorkshire forests, then you’ll want to come along.

Discover the wide range of activities happening in your forests every day.  From planting trees to exploring the impact of beavers on flood prevention, this open day is a great chance to come and find out more about what the Forestry Commission and Forestry England do.

Find out how forestry has changed throughout the years and how we’re now moving into the next 100 years, including checking out our centenary exhibition. There will be forestry machinery on display along with other kit we use and forestry staff from operations to planning to recreation sharing their knowledge and experiences.

There will be exhibits and stalls around the Visitor Centre and in Low Dalby courtyard with lots to see and do. We look forward to welcoming you to our celebration!

This is a free event, no booking required. Normal Dalby parking fee applies.
