Grue; A new magical alternative Christmas adventure is coming to the Old Parcels Office in Scarborough this December.
Grue takes its name from an historic word for snow or shiver, and is a walk-through experience taking families on a festive journey through forest, town, sea and sky. There will be plenty to marvel at and discover through this interactive wonderland, and you’ll even get your own paper decoration to build yourself!
Built by the community and made entirely out of recycled and repurposed materials, the project sends out a clear message about what is possible with a bit of imagination and old packaging materials, which are plentiful around Christmas.
Entry to Grue is ‘Pay what you can’, meaning everyone is able to book a ticket and experience the piece if they want to. Each slot will take 15-20 minutes and you can book a group of up to 6 people per slot. There will also be refreshments available at the end of the installation.
Grue will be open on Weekends from 3pm and Thursday’s from 4pm throughout December with extra days on 20th and 21st from 3pm.
