This Saturday we welcome you to come and support the local Army units as they take part in traditional WW1 Wagoners training challenges to determine who will become this years Wagoner Champions.
Each activity is based on the old training regimes that would have been used by the Wolds Wagon Special Reserves before they went off to defend Queen and country.
The tasks and exercises will test our competitors skills in ways they’ve never been tested before with a chance to learn and show off their long reining skills, general service wagon driving, a wagon endurance race against the clock and the bale stacking challenge!
It’s going to be a fast paced and exciting day, visitors can get involved with various spectator activities too, including hit the rat, an inflatable assault course and the Queens own Gurkha Logistic Regiment will be performing the traditional Khukuri Dance.
