Humble Bee Farm is nestled in the Yorkshire Wolds near to Scarborough and the Yorkshire Coast. They have a range of accommodation on their working farm from luxury cottages to Wigwam® Cabins, Yurts and standard camping. For guests at farm, they also a Nature Trail, playground and sports field and they also put on extra events and activities for guests to make their stay extra special. Our lovely Hull Mumbler neighbour visited with her kids for a surprise weekend away their last September and we loved it (you can read all about that here), we’re going back again next month after a lot of pestering from them!
Awesome Events at Humble Bee Farm!
Humble Bee Farm run a full programme of special events for guests (and a few for the public to attend too) and there is a host of new events for summer 2019! From learning bushcraft skills to stargazing, there’s something for everyone –
Join the Hidden Horizons team for a two hour Bushcraft session. We will make a shelter, light a fire, forage some food and cook it. Available on May 29th, 21st August & September 21st 2019.
If you love looking at the night sky, yet have wondered how to spot a planet, constellation or nebula, Humble Bee Farm can help. We’ve joined forces with the team from Hidden Horizons and once the nights start getting darker, be sure to bring your telescopes and binoculars if you are staying with us. Join us for Stargazing on the evenings of 10th August and 26th October, a stellar line up of star-studded fun is in store and it will be out of this world!
And in addition to the above, we’ve got a selection of free events (for guests booked in Humble Bee guest accommodation) including Wildlife Ramble, Go Wild sessions, Nature Detectives, and Flower Power & Butterfly Bonanzas throughout July and August.
Looking further ahead, as well as our perennial favourite Halloween celebration in October, we also have our new Pumpkin Patch (from 26th October to 31st October), and we’ll host our annual Bonfire Night Bonanza on 2nd November. And last but no means least, we can’t have winter without a festive event. For the first time ever, Santa Claus is visiting Humble Bee Farm. See him in his special Grotto and have a truly magical experience on 14th December.

Public Events: If you don’t want to stay at the farm or you want to have a look around first there are a few of the events above open to the public too so you can just come and join in with an event. These are –
Stargazing with Hidden Horizons – Saturday 10th August and Saturday 26th October at 9pm (£9 per adult and £6 per child)
Bushcraft with Hidden Horizons – Wednesday 21st August at 10am and 1.30pm and Saturday 21st September 10am and 1.30pm (two hours per session, £9 per person, under 5s free)
Halloween Spooktacular – Saturday 19th October 5pm to 7.30pm (£15 family pass)
October Half Term Pumpkin Patch and Halloween Trail – Saturday 26th to Thursday 31st October, hourly sessions from 12noon to 4pm (£5 per child including pumpkin or £8 for sessions where children can meet Esmerelda the Witch too!)
Brilliant Bonfire Night – Saturday 2nd November 5.30 pm to 7.30pm (£10 per adult and £5 per child)
Santa’s Grotto event – Saturday 14th December 2019 (£10 per child, one hour sessions at 10am, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm).
