If you’re looking for a fun day out over the May Half Term holiday why not head to Hornsea Freeport. There are 2 great children’s attractions there, along with the usual range of shops and discount outlets.
Discover Beach Cove, the fantastic play experience at Hornsea Freeport. Swing, slide, zip, bounce, climb, dig and twirl in the AWESOME outdoor activity park… and explore the AMAZING soft play zone indoors. Time for a break? Relax in the Rockpool Café and terrace overlooking the play areas.
Head into Bugtopia, the hands-on tropical nature attraction featuring Huge Bugs, butterflies, birds, spiders, and MORE! INCREDIBLE leafcutter ants have arrived at Bugtopia too!
Browse the shops. Top brands, huge savings check out the new Bags of style and House of Brands stores.
Hull & East Riding Mumbler had a great day out there during the last school holidays.
Rach took her kids to the Clarks outlet for new school and pre-school shoes then went to Beach Cove for lunch and a play. The indoor soft play area is really spacious and there are lots of things to do, they liked the indoor houses and ride-ons and spent ages playing ‘shop’ together in there. The soft play is a good size and there are sections for different age groups. The outdoor area is really fun. There is a huge bouncy pillow that my children played for ages on, plus a lovely sand and water area and play equipment.
They then went into Bugtopia, walking through the butterfly enclosure and watching the bug show. Her 7 year old boy absolutely loved it and held some of the creatures in the show. It was really educational too, they all learned a lot about the creepy crawlies. Her 3 year old daughter wasn’t keen on holding anything but spent ages in the indoor butterfly enclosure looking for different beautiful butterflies (how stereotypical of boys and girls!).
