PQA Scarborough

The Pauline Quirke Academy is a weekend performing arts school for 4-18 year olds.

Students spend 3 hours with us, rotating through hour long sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television. Students split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist teachers (Poppets class for the younger ages are shorter and last 90 minutes). Classes are held every weekend at:

Scarborough – YMCA Scarborough, St Thomas Street, Scarborough, YO11 1DY (Sundays 9.45am – 1.00pm)

  • Saturday 11.15am – 12.45pm – Performing Arts for 8 years plus
  • Saturday 11am – 1pm – Youth Recycle Bicycle Scheme (weather permitting)

Variety Stage Direction Performing Arts

Performing Arts school that covers all genres of Theatre Dance, Musical Theatre, Cheerleading, Country and Western Line Dance and Freestyle/Disco:

  • Saturday, 2.30-4pm for children aged 3 to 11 years.

£5 a class paid a month in advance, Registration Fee is £12.50-£15 according to size of t-shirt. First lesson is free of charge.

Y Perform – YMCA Scarborough

Y Perform is a Musical Theatre School, providing activities and performance opportunities to young people aged 6 to 17. All abilities are welcome – come join our classes to release your inner performer. Runs on Saturdays, call the centre for information on how to book onto a class.
