Hopefully you’ve enjoyed a lovely festive spell – we’d like to wish all our wonderful visitors a very happy new year! There’s plenty going on in the forest to help fend off any winter blues and lots to look forward to in 2019. Head to the website and get out those calendars, dig out your walking boots, buy a concert ticket, sort your running gear, get your creative juices flowing… We’ve got everything from stone carving sessions to summer concerts happening.
There’s loads going on to celebrate the Dark Skies Festival 2019 over the next few weeks. We’ll have more of the hugely popular stargazing sessions and pop-up planetarium with Hidden Horizons plus Go Ape night zips and a special dark run. We’re also very proud to be hosting a screening of the film Saving the Dark, followed by a one hour star party led by an astronomer. All of these will fill up fast, so get planning soon!
Whether you got a pair of trainers for Christmas or have 1000s of miles under foot already, Dalby offers endless options for a new year health boost. Choose from a number of waymarked running routes that range from 1km to 10km immersed in stunning surroundings. Why not join us on Saturday mornings for parkrun or sign up to one of our running events throughout the year? Cheaper than the gym, much more fun than an exercise class and with the added bonus that our scenery changes every day!
Remember that a Discovery Pass offers amazingly good value if you plan to visit Dalby a few times in 2019. All the details are here on the website. See you soon!
