Get a head start on making Christmas extra special this year by choosing the perfect Christmas tree from Dalby Forest!

We know that your Christmas tree is a big part of the festive season and that you care about where it comes from and how it’s grown. That’s why we grow a range of sustainably sourced quality real trees, just as Santa would want! Trees grown and nurtured in Dalby range in size from 3ft to 8ft and are all Grown in Britain and FSC approved.

Festive fun in the forest
Along with the tradition of choosing your tree, there will be festive events and activities to enjoy in a lovely Christmas courtyard setting. There will be plenty of opportunities for the kids to get hands-on and creative too.

Why not make the most of your forest visit by staying a while or making a day of it? You can get some fresh air and stretch your legs by following a sign-posted family Christmas trail through the trees.

Parking is free with every tree sold and you also get a free baby Christmas tree to take home and nurture! We love seeing the photos you share of your Dalby trees growing up through the years!

Light up your Christmas with a Scampston Christmas Tree!

Enjoy a treemendous start to the festive season on Saturday 1st December, when Scampston’s Christmas trees go on sale.

Christmas trees have been grown at Scampston and on a partner farm at Lowthorpe, near Driffield, for decades. When a tree is harvested, another is planted in its place, ensuring the production of our trees is entirely sustainable.

Nigel Harrison, head woodsman: “It takes a surprising amount of time to cultivate your perfect Christmas tree, every foot can take up to a year to grow – and there is a lot of pruning to get the right shape. We like to think that our local trees have a little more personality than your average tree!”

Trees will be on sale daily 10am – 4pm in Scampston Walled Garden (YO17 8NG) and also the Woodsman’s Cottage, Lowthorpe (YO25 4AU).  Contact trees@scampston.co.uk or call 01944 759111 for more information.  Delivery is available on request.  Annual members of Scampston Walled Garden are entitled to a 10% discount on their Christmas tree.
