To keep visitors and our staff safe we are asking that people make contactless payments when buying their trail activity packs and wear a face covering during the purchase.

Follow the trail

The trail should keep the young ones entertained for around an hour leaving plenty of time to find more fun and explore the forest.

It is important that visitors follow social distancing guidelines along the trail and keep 2m apart from other groups where possible.

Trail activity packs are available to purchase from the Visitor Centre during opening times and cost £3.50. You will need to drive to the trail start at the World Cup Car Park near Adderstone Field.

Journey through the narrow streets and alleyways of Bay as you listen to tales of the strange and supernatural mingling with ancient legends, smugglers, shipwrecks, spiritual mysteries and rip roaring ghost stories.

Please wear appropriate clothing and suitable footwear. Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome. Suitable for all the family. The walk lasts just over one hour.

Sewerby Hall February Half Term

Visitors to the grounds of Sewerby Hall and Gardens this February half term can enjoy thousands of winter bulbs in flower now, and it’s free of charge to access the grounds and gardens. Over 10,000 snowdrops and yellow aconites, together with cyclamen and aromatic flowering shrubs, are providing a spectacular early glimpse of spring in the gardens and woodland areas.

The grounds are open seven days a week and are free to visit until 25 March.  The popular Clock Tower café is also open daily from 10am to 4pm. Charges apply to visit the house itself, which is open at weekends during the winter months and February half term (19 to 27 February). The zoo is also open daily, and charges apply.

The Deep – February Half Term
