Sewerby Hall and Gardens have a great programme of family events for the Summer 2023. Starting 22nd July, regular activities during the 6 weeks holidays include:
- Mondays to 28 August – Rusticus Encounters: Smuggler!
- Tuesdays to 29 August – Rusticus Woodland Creatures Theatre: Around the World in 80 Days!
- Wednesdays to 30 August – Magic Shows and Face Painting (£3 per person).
- Thursdays to 31 August – Rusticus Wonderland Adventures: Meet the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts
- Saturdays to 2 September – Rusticus Adventures: Creatures of the Wild Wood
- Sundays to 3 September – Punch and Judy Shows with Professor Dan.
At various times over the Summer will be Wildcats activities and Zoo activities, including meet the keeper, meet the hoof stock, willow fruit kebabs, and orange fat balls. There are also lots of special events:
- Summer Family Fun Day on Thursday: 27 July, 10.30am-3.30pm. A day of outdoor fun and learning. Including inflatables, multi-sports and fitness sessions from the Active Coast Team and East Riding Leisure Bridlington, cycling, volleyball, land art, and giant bubbles. Plus the NHS, Bridlington Library, RSPB, RNLI.
- Yorkshire Day: 1 August – A whole day celebrating all things Yorkshire, including Morris dancing.
- There are several car rally’s:
- The Yorkshire Morgan Car Club event on Sunday, 6 August
- The East Yorkshire Morris Minor Owners Club rally on Sunday, 20 August
- The East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club Summer Gathering on Sunday, 27 August.
Rounding off the summer will be BRICKLIVE : Animal Paradise from 26 August to 24 September, featuring 15 animal statues in a new wildlife kingdom around the gardens, made up of over 500,000 bricks.
