We have really enjoyed the walk with our 3 and 1 year old. We can definitely say its worth getting an activity pack as you need the invisible pen with the torch to see the patterns and fill in the map. We didn’t have the app but you don’t need it as you can fill in the papers from the activity pack. Perhaps, in hindsight, we did miss out on some of the more fun and interesting elements so try and download the app before hand.
Dalby Forest advise that Shaun is most suitable for 6-12 years of age but we thought we would give it a go having really enjoyed Zog, The Highway Rat and Gruffalo Trail. We did find out that it is definitely not pushchair or toddler friendly. It is very steep in places and quite muddy making getting up and down the trails awkward at times. So I definitely agree, it’d be better for bigger children, who would also love the app so do download before!
