New horizons in Low Dalby
We’re delighted that Hidden Horizons now have an Explorer Hub in Low Dalby courtyard. It’s their new base for stargazing, bushcraft, tree climbing, birthday parties, forest school trips and the new Dalby Adventurers Kids Holiday Club running in April. Next time you’re at Dalby, why not drop by to find out how you and your family can become Forest Explorers! Visit www.hiddenhorizons.co.uk, call 01723 817017 or email contact@hiddenhorizons.co.uk
Sign up for stone carving
Places on our stone carving sessions booked up quickly following BBC Countryfile’s feature on Dalby and our dry stone wall maze! There are still some places in April and May for you to learn how to carve your own initials into a stone, tutored by sculptor Peter Maris. Your very own stone will then be built into the maze itself. Or you can buy a stone with your initials carved into it, or those of friends or family, for a gift or to remember someone special for all time. Find out more at forestryengland.uk/dalbymaze
Run the Forestry 100
If you’re a runner, why not take a look at this brand new running event? In May we’ll host the Dalby leg of the national Forestry 100 running series, celebrating 100 years of forestry during our centenary year. The Dalby 10k will be exhilarating, taking in the best of our dramatic and rugged scenery. With climbs, descents, viewpoints and hidden trails, the route is an off-roader’s paradise.
