Tiny Time Tales: Lottie Gets Lost in Bookland
Saturdays until 24 August at 10.30am
A magical show for the smallest members of the family at the Stephen Joseph Theatre this summer will include a book swap. Lottie Gets Lost in Bookland is the latest of the hugely popular Tiny Times Tales, which have been entertaining pre-schoolers for many years now.
Two Mumblers attended the Stephen Joseph Theatre on 03/08/2019 in Scarborough with our two young children, one being 1 years old and the other 3 years old. Here is what they had to say about it…
“Upon entry to the play we were greeted by the staff who were dressed smartly and more than helpful.
At the point of payment there is a lift right beside the counter, making having a pram no issue at all. We were directed to which room we would be attending.
Once at the theatre’s entrance, I was asked if I’d like to park my pram in an area outside the room. This was great and the member of staff placed my pram in a private area for me to collect afterwards. I felt this was great customer service as prams etc can sometimes just get in the way.
We then got a warm beverage from the bar directly outside the doors. Drinks were very reasonably priced and payment was either cash or card which made it easy and convenient.
As my daughter is 1yrs old, I gave her the pre-prepared snack whilst watching the play, which helped with attention! The venue was very clean and in good order.
The play was great, the actors involved the children from beginning to end which was great to see. Ages varied from approx 1 to 5 years. The theatre crew got all of the children involved in singing activities and dancing. As a parent it was great to see everyone having such a fun time and children mixing together making friends.
The only criticism I would give is that the theatre was hot and would benefit from air conditioning in my opinion. The weather was warm outside so do dress accordingly. This is a very minor detail which would not stop me from going in future, as we had a great time and will be looking forward to returning soon to watch another.”
The show can be seen at 10.30am on Saturdays 10, 17 and 24 August. Tickets cost £3.50. Children under 18 months go free, but do need a ticket. To book, please call the box office on 01723 370541 or visit the website: www.sjt.uk.com
