Walk in the footsteps of the POWs at Eden Camp as they journey from the station
Continuing our Living History Weekend is the new Heritage Trail!
Join us on a tour of Malton where we take you back in time to 1943. You can follow the route with our specially made map through the town centre up to Eden Camp!
Along the way, listen to the local stories from all over town and up to P.O.W. Camp 83, and explore the trying times of rationing, working the land, and fraternising with the “enemy”!
Then when you reach the camp, your tour guide awaits to show the changes on the 80 years from WWII through the 60s holiday camp, and into the museum we know and love today!
