Macmillan’s Coffee Morning is 30 years old this year and it’s no exaggeration to say Macmillan and people with cancer have never needed our help more than they do now.
Last year people in Yorkshire raised over £1.8 million by taking part in Coffee Morning, to fund the charities vital services like Macmillan nurses, Macmillan support line and their Macmillan Information Centres.
This year, figures show the number of people planning to hold a Coffee Morning across Yorkshire has fallen by a staggering 74%. Almost all of Macmillan’s income is from donations and events like Coffee Morning. While Coffee Morning can’t take place in exactly the same way as before, there are still lots of ways to get involved, including:
