Scarborough’s annual flippin’ fantastic Pancake Day races are returning on Shrove Tuesday.
The fun kicks off with the town crier introducing the Mayor of Scarborough for the traditional ringing of the who then rings the pancake bell in North Street at noon.
The Mayor then, along with This is the Coast radio host Paddy Billington, will begin the pancake races in Aberdeen Walk.
Teams of two from local businesses will compete to win the legendary Golden Frying Pan.
Everyone then heads down to Foreshore road in South Bay where school children will be skipping by the seaside.
