The weekend of June 21 to 23 will see hundreds of Great Get Together events across the country, all inspired by the late MP Jo Cox.
We’re inviting people to come together to contribute to pavement art on the theme of friendship – join us to create a huge chalk drawing on the pathways running through The Crescent gardens and get involved in craft workshops.
One of the key principles of the Great Get Together is to demonstrate we have more in common than that which divides us, so we’re asking you to bring cake to share – particularly if it has a personal meaning.
It could be a a childhood favourite, or a traditional family recipe which has been handed down the generations; whatever the story, we want to hear it!
The event is for all ages and free, with soft drinks and games for all the family. If the weather’s bad, it’ll take place in Scarborough Market Hall.
