WORKSHOPS RE-START MONDAY 6th JANUARY 2020
Peep was established in Oxford and is a ‘Learning Together Programme’. As trained practitioners we provide comprehensive child development activities and share information with families. A first-of-its-kind for the borough, the ultimate aim of the programme is to help participating children to be ‘school ready’. You will develop an understanding of how to make the most of play and learning opportunities in everyday life, including within the home environment. We create and deliver informal group sessions, aiming to encourage a child’s learning and development through a range of fun activities and times of play.
Our ‘Peep’ workshops are a relaxed environment where you can learn about your child’s development. We don’t ‘teach’ you how to help your child develop – we give you the tools and ideas to do it yourself! Here at Peep we know that attending workshops can be daunting, which is why we’ve made our Peep workshops different. Our workshops are tailored to you, we don’t follow a strict schedule. Is there something specific that you would like our advice on? Not a problem! We’re here to support, listen and help where we can.
There are 5 elements to a Peep session:
‘Hello/goodbye song’ – a friendly welcome for all and an exciting farewell!
Songs and rhymes – learn songs to sing at home too
Storytime – helps children to listen and engage with a story
Talk time with parents – got a question or just want to listen? This part is just for our parents.
Things to try at home – learn how to use workshops activities in your own home
Our sessions are aimed at 0 – 5 years:
We know how busy life can be at times, so we have 6 workshops available each week for you to attend:
