Remember #HungryLittleMinds? Well there’s been a rebrand!
Coast and Vale Community Action (CaVCA) and the National Literacy Trust are delighted to be a key delivery partner in the Start for Life – Better Health campaign from the Department for Education and the Department for Health and Social Care.
The ask for parents, carers and early years settings stays the same – we want you to chat, play and read with you little one aged 0 to 5 as much as possible, helping to get little ones ready for when they start school.
Did you know parents and carers have the biggest influence on children’s development!
The more you chat to your baby, the more positive connections are formed in their brain.
Playing with children supports their emotional and brain development.
Reading to your little one for just 10 minutes a day helps their language skills and can build a lifelong love of reading.
All the little things you do with your child, like everyday conversations, make-believe play and reading together, make a huge difference to their development!
The brand-new Start for Life website has plenty of helpful tips, fun activities and engaging videos to help you to chat, play and read with your little one visit. https://wordsforlife.org.uk/themes/start-for-life/ and www.nhs.uk/start4life #ChatPlayRead
