Beth, a lovely Mumbler popped long to see SLIME at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre today – here’s a review here.
“We went to see ‘Slime’ at The Stephen Joseph Theatre today and it was brilliant! I took my 3 year old daughter and our friends accompanied us with a 3 year old and 6 month old.
We were asked to take our coat and shoes off before going ‘into the set’, which in itself, was simple but exciting and impressive!
The children were enthralled as soon as the play began and the room was silent! As the play went on, the children got to join in with different parts of the show and were really having fun. The room was filled with lots of happy, giggling children and adults.
The play wasn’t like any play I had seen before, there was only a handful of words spoken but the imagination of the characters took hold of the children’s minds and captivated them.
There was 15 minutes of slime play at the end of the show to add to the fun.
As always, the SJT staff were welcoming and there was plenty of space for belongings to be left. I’d definitely go to see another production by ‘The Herd Theatre’ if the opportunity arose.”
