Rebecca Palmer runs Happy Sleepy Baby, whose main aim is to support mums via baby massage and baby yoga.
Becky wants to reach out and support as many mums in need as possible. Whether it’s a mum who has been rushed into hospital to have her baby, a refugee family who has just arrived into the area or a family who is struggling financially.
With this in mind, she has formulated “Nurture Boxes” for local mums who go to hospital and for whatever reason don’t have anything for themselves or baby.
The idea is that this boxes will contain the essentials of nappies, wipes, breast pads and maternity towels for new Mums that really need the help. At that moment in time the new Mum will feel supported and that someone cares. It hopefully relieves some pressure off the NHS too.
The Filey branch of Tesco have been amazing. Today, Rebecca collected nappies, wipes, cotton wool, maternity towels and breast pads from Sharron. Whenever she has any surplus stock, she’s going to be in touch. Rebecca is hoping to be able to add in some baby vests and baby grows too.
