Gobbledigook Theatre and Frederick Warne & Co Limited will present ‘The Tales of Beatrix Potter,’ a fantastic interactive theatre production for all ages. With a national reputation for creating imaginative twists on classic family stories, they’ll bring show inspired by three of Potters favourite tales – The Tale of the Pie and the Patty Pan, The Tale of Samuel Whiskers and The Tale of Ginger and Pickles. Join Beatrix Potter and her characters on an adventure full of mischief and mayhem around Castle Howard’s iconic grounds.

Beatrix Potter’s animal friends will be taking up residence throughout the House as part of an indoor trail and the live characters from the show will be on hand for you to meet in the gardens before each performance. Plus, take part in an outdoor hunt around our very own ‘Mr McGregor’s’ walled garden.
Trail activities and show will run Saturday 26th May – Sunday 3rd June.
Peter Rabbit will also be at Castle Howard on SUNDAY 27th and MONDAY 28th.
The indoor and outdoor trails are included in standard admission price, free to members.

There are a variety of junior and family rides, including the new Flamingo 1 racing cars, where both children and adults can test their driving skills.
Peter Rabbit arrived at Flamingo Land with a Peter Rabbit Adventure playground. Explore the Secret Tree House and hop along to Jeremy Fisher’s musical pond to explore giant instruments and learn about sounds from the giant lily pads. We are sure fans of all ages will love exploring Lily Bobtail’s Nature Discovery where you can climb on tunnels and find creepy crawly creatures in Bug Log.
You can meet Peter Rabbit himself, located by the Mansion House & Tea Rooms at 12.30pm and 3pm. You can also see Benjamin Bunny in the Sail Away farewell show at the exit of the theme park at 5pm (weather permitting). And brand new for 2018, you can listen to a Peter Rabbit and Lily Bobtail Story Time (£5pp).

Also during half term week on 2nd June: Shark Egg Case Hunt. Join us at Spurn Point for our second Egg Case Hunt of the year! Taking place along the East Coast, these free events are being delivered in partnership with the Shark Trust and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust in a bid to involve local people in shark conservation. Ideal for children aged 3 upwards, you can support marine life whilst enjoying a great day out. All participants are asked to wear suitable sturdy footwear. The event is expected to finish by 3pm. Geocaching Treasure Hunt
Join the Cleveland Way National Trail, the National Trust and the National Park on a hunt for hidden treasure. Using one of our GPS units, enjoy a 2-3 mile walk searching for clues and goodies in hidden boxes along the way. You pay a charge (per family) for the GPS unit, plus a refundable deposit. The route takes about 2 hours to complete and you can just turn up on the day. Not accessible by wheelchair. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead. We are mostly known for our Drive-In Cinema events, which have previously taken place in Scarborough, and all over the UK. However, as a one off Moonlight Cinema is working with the community to host a weekend of fantastic entertainment. There will be food stalls and bars on site, and the menus will all be released very shortly. There will be security on site and they will be checking bags before entry. For security reasons we cannot allow any food or drink to be brought into the events, other than for medical reasons, and this will need to be proven.
